Pick the tree that matches the fight: one is usually stronger for single-target, the other for cleave. With Midnight's level 90 cap you also unlock the new Apex talents at the bottom of your spec tree — do not leave them unspent.

Gearing in Midnight

From fresh 90 to raid-ready.

1. Hit the gear floor

Run Midnight heroics, delves with Valeera, and the outdoor Prey hunts to fill every slot. World gear and delve caches get you into the item-level range for the season fast.

2. Upgrade with crests

Spend the season's crests to walk each piece up its upgrade track — weapons and trinkets first, then the armor slots carrying your best stats. From patch 12.0.5 the Voidforge system pushes weapons and trinkets further with Ascendant Voidcores.

3. Complete the tier set

Chase your 4-piece class set from The Voidspire raid, the vault, and the catalyst. The set bonus is usually worth more than raw item level — check the guild notes before breaking it for an off-piece.

The new Haranir allied race does not include Paladins — pick for racial utility or looks; the gap is small.
