Map and route

Follow the instance from entrance to completion.

The schematic below is an original planning diagram. Use the in-game map or Mythic Dungeon Tools for exact terrain, enemy positions, and live enemy-forces values.

Original route schematic for Gundrak
Route schematic — planning order only, not a copied or exact in-game minimap.
  1. 1

    Collect quests

Take the dungeon quests from the zone hub or Dalaran before entering.

  2. 2

    Opening pulls

Use line of sight on casters and keep the first pulls small enough to verify server scaling.

  3. 3

    Boss route

Follow the route schematic in order; complete optional bosses only when the group wants their loot or quest credit.

  4. 4

    Heroic priorities

At level 80, use defensives on tank-busters, assign every interrupt, and avoid chaining packs into bosses.

  5. 5

    Loot and exit

Confirm quest items and emblem/loot distribution before leaving the instance.

Trash and route risks

What to stop between bosses.

  • Interrupt healers and long cast-time damage spells.
  • Use line of sight instead of fighting multiple caster packs in the open.
  • Confirm the tank has threat before using full AoE; 3.3.5a threat tools differ from Retail.

Quests and unlocks

Do not leave rewards behind.

  • Important quest bundle: For Posterity, One of a Kind.
  • Quest names and availability can vary by faction and custom-server scripting; verify with the in-game quest log.
