World governing body

World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA)

The primary rules and world-championship source for 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball, and Straight Pool. Use the WPA event calendar and published athlete guides for the final event-specific regulations.

Predator’s international series stages men’s, women’s, junior, teams, and special-format events with free-streaming coverage through Pro Billiard TV.

Player workflow

How to prepare for a pro event.

  1. Identify the sanctioning body.Start with WPA, WNT, PBS, WPBA, or EPBF.
  2. Download the current athlete/player guide.Event regulations can override the base rules.
  3. Confirm equipment and break format.Table size, rack template, alternate/winner break, shot clock, jump cues, and dress code matter.
  4. Verify qualification.Some fields are open entry; others require federation nomination, tour ranking, qualifier, or invitation.
  5. Track brackets and streaming.Use the official event site, CueScore/CompuSport when linked, and the organizer’s broadcast channels.
