Fill the slots
Heroics, delve caches, Prey hunts, crafted pieces, and early vault rewards. Nothing fancy — just no empty or gray slots before raid night.
Midnight · Gearing
Midnight shipped with a stat squish, so ignore the old numbers — what matters is the loop: fill every slot, upgrade with crests, complete your tier set, then push Voidforge upgrades. Here is the order.
Heroics, delve caches, Prey hunts, crafted pieces, and early vault rewards. Nothing fancy — just no empty or gray slots before raid night.
Gear sits on upgrade tracks (adventurer through myth-tier). Spend the season's crests to walk your best pieces up. Weapon and trinkets first — they are worth the most per crest.
Your 4-piece class set bonus usually beats raw item level. Bosses, the weekly vault, and the catalyst all convert toward it.
The Voidforge system pushes weapons and trinkets past their normal cap using Ascendant Voidcores. Progression characters first — this is the endgame gold sink.
Hit your raid, Mythic+, and delve vault rows every week. Most best-in-slot lists are really just vault-luck lists — give yourself the most rolls.
A piece is not an upgrade until it is enchanted and gemmed. Post your armory in Discord — officers run gear audits before every progression night.
Old habits, new rules
No hit or expertise caps, no defense minimum for tanks — retail replaced cap-chasing with track-climbing. Your stat priority is a direction, not a checklist, and it changes with gear: sim your character, or ask in the guild Discord.
The spec pages carry the current direction for every class: Midnight build hub
